In the mid 1970s I began shooting in sequences.  I had just moved to NYC for the art scene and came under the influence of the conceptualists and their process body work.  Obtaining a wide angle lens for my camera I started shooting my feet which led me to shooting sequences of walking directed by either a particular location or what I had written on the ground with chalk.  Another directive of this movement:  Instead of making his wall drawings himself  Sol LeWitt produced instructions outlining how his wall drawings should be made*
